Randy Moss
Moss Returns to USBL

Wide receiver Randy Moss is continuing his pursuit of a pro basketball venture with his return to the United States Basketball League, a move that is causing him to miss a volunteer minicamp with the Vikings.

Randy Moss wasn’t at the first day of the Vikings volunteer minicamp Monday nor will he be, as he continues to pursue his tier two basketball career.

Moss, who played with the Pennsylvania ValleyDawgs of the United States Basketball League last month, will rejoin the team tonight for a two-game stint in Florida. Tonight, his team will play the Lakeland Blueducks, which include boxing champion Roy Jones Jr. on their roster. Moss will have another game Thursday.

The Vikings continue to be supportive of Moss’ efforts in the USBL, but it looks as though the team is more interested in not rocking the boat than encouraging Moss’ B-league hoops endeavors.

TUESDAY NOTES
* The Vikings volunteer minicamp runs through Thursday this week and through Wednesday next week.
* The Vikings may get a look at another former pupil of secondary coach Willie Shaw, who was with Kansas City last year. The Chiefs released Carlton Gray Monday, another player like James Hasty who played cornerback for Shaw.
